« back to classes page
ClassGraphic In the beginning, and for a very long time, marriage had nothing to do with love between the bride and groom. When romantic love developed, almost a thousand years ago, it was assumed that it would be impossible between husband and wife. Recently, the growing equality of women has transformed the possibility of romantic love in marriage. Marriage has also been changed by the many people of the same sex who are getting married. This lecture is about the history of love and marriage.
