Thank you for your interest in teaching at the Adult School of Montclair!

Below is a link to the form for submitting course proposals for Fall 2012. Please fill out the form as completely as possible and click on the "submit" button. A curriculum representative will contact you sometime between now and early March to follow up on your proposal. Proposals for Fall 2012 need to be received by March 1, 2012. Any UNSOLICITED course proposal submitted after that date will be held and considered for our Spring 2013 term.

We run two terms each year and we generally plan about 6-8 months in advance. Terms run for 12 weeks, late September to early December and late February to early May. Classes meet from 1 to 12 times. Most classes meet between 6:30 and 9:30pm on Monday or Tuesday evenings at Montclair High School, but we also offer some daytime and weekend programs at other sites in the community. 42,000 catalogs are distributed each term and the complete catalog is available online as well.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of the Adult School of Montclair. There is an active group of Adult School supporters, but new volunteers are always needed. We would like to broaden our base, so that we better represent the diverse talents and interests of the Montclair community.

Work at the Adult School is varied and can accommodate any schedule. There are opportunities to work during the day in the Adult School office, at school during evening classes, at various locations in the community or at home. While you are doing what you enjoy, you can be assured that your energies are contributing to an organization that has built and served a dynamic community for more than 75 years!
